Oxford has a centuries-old tradition of student societies. The Oxford Union, founded in 1823, has hosted some of the greatest minds and leaders in history. The Inklings, a literary group that met in Oxford pubs in the 1930s and 1940s, counted C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien among its members. The tradition of curious people gathering around shared ideas is woven into the fabric of this city.

At Oxford Horizon Academy, you step into that tradition.

Our student clubs and societies run alongside your academic programme, filling evenings with purpose, community, and the kind of conversations you will not find in a classroom. There are four categories to choose from: Academic and Professional, Creative and Cultural, Sports and Wellness, and Special Interests.

If you want to argue about international policy, the Global Leaders Forum is your space. If you want to write, The Inklings (named after Oxford's legendary literary circle) welcomes poets and storytellers. If you want to code, pitch a business idea, debate medical ethics, photograph the city, or simply play chess in good company, there is a society for you.

What makes these societies special is not the activities themselves. It is who you do them with. Students come to Oxford Horizon Academy from varied backgrounds, all drawn by the same intellectual curiosity. The friendships formed in these societies, over shared passions and late evenings, tend to outlast the two weeks by years.

Oxford taught the world that the best learning happens in community. That lesson has not changed.
